According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI of the capital Delhi has been recorded at 418 at 6 am. The Pollution Department team checked the pollution level of many places in Delhi including Anand Vihar, Dwarka, Shadipur, Mandir Marg, ITO, RK Puram, Punjabi Bagh, North Campus, Mathura Road, Rohini, Patparganj, Okhla, India Gate, Mundka. Greater Noida remained the most polluted city.
Whereas in NCR, AQI of Greater Noida has been recorded at 474. It was ‘most polluted’ with this AQI, while Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad recorded air quality in ‘very poor’ category at 6 am. At 10 pm on Tuesday night, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi’s Anand Vihar has reached 999 even before Diwali, which is in the ‘hazardous’ category.
