Vegetarian woman served chicken pieces on Air India flight, passenger posted pictures on social media

Air India Serves Chicken To Vegetarian Passenger: A case of chicken pieces being served with vegetarian food in an Air India flight has come to light. This incident happened with a passenger named Veera Jain. He has told its entire story on social media platform X. Along with this, pictures of the food served by the airlines have also been posted. In this post, he has also tagged the Indian Aviation Authority (DGCA), Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Passenger was sitting in the plane from Calicut
Veera Jain tweeted that she had boarded Air India flight AI582 from Calicut airport. He was also served chicken pieces along with vegetarian food. Veer wrote that the take-off time of my plane was 6.40 pm. However, the plane took off at 7.40 pm, one hour late. In the pictures he has posted of his food packets, Veg is clearly visible on the wrapper, but some chicken pieces are also visible in the food served.

Missed train due to flight delay
He tweeted that when I informed the cabin supervisor (Sona), she apologized. After this I informed the cabin crew about this. However, despite this, the passengers who had vegetarian food on the plane were not informed about this. Due to flight delay, I missed my friend’s train which was to catch her from Mumbai to Ahmedabad at 23:00 pm. We had booked the flight ticket because it was to land in Mumbai at 20:40 pm.

Demand for action on negligence from Air India
He made several tweets one after the other, writing that first the delay, then non-vegetarian in my vegetarian diet. This is extremely disappointing and has hurt my feelings. He has demanded strict action from Air India on its catering services and delays. Also, passengers are suggested to please fully check what you are eating in flight. Now I have lost faith in all airline meals after being served non-veg.
