Bhopal. An unknown miscreant stole a bag full of gifts and envelopes from the stage late on Tuesday night at Umang Marriage Garden located in Bilkhiria police station area. The bag contained gold earrings, mobile, cash worth Rs 35,000 and other small gifts. The complaint of the incident was made after reaching the police station on Wednesday evening. The complainant has also given a footage of the marriage garden to the police. The minor who has been suspected in the footage is not seen picking up the bag.
ASI OP Shukla told that Pradeep Soni (50) lives in Avadhpuri area and works in BHEL. His daughter’s marriage ceremony was held at Umang Marriage Garden. Last Tuesday night everyone was doing photo exposure. Meanwhile Pradeep Soni’s wife had a bag full of envelopes and gifts given by the guests. Around 12 o’clock in the night, she gave the bag to a female relative and started doing photo exposure with the guests. The one to whom the bag was given also kept the bag there and she also started getting the photo exposed. After exposing the photo, when attention was paid to the bag, the bag was not there. People were questioned around, but there was no clue of the bag. After this, a complaint was made after reaching the police station on Tuesday. Pradeep Soni has given the CCTV footage of the marriage garden to the police. A fourteen to fifteen year old teenager is seen in the footage. Pradeep told that the said teenager is neither with the baraatis nor we have any relative.
