Bhopal. To increase the number of bison in Van Vihar, there is a preparation to bring two bison here soon under the exchange program. Both these bison will be brought from Bondla Zoo in Goa. One of these will be male and one will be female. Right now both the bison present in Van Vihar are males. With the arrival of a female, there is a possibility of increasing the family of bison. Earlier, there was a plan to bring a female bison from the zoo in Assam, which could not come due to some reason. After this, preparations have been made to bring bison from Goa.
Bear will be given :
In exchange for the bison, the bears will be given to Goa Zoo by Van Vihar. There are currently 24 bears in Van Vihar. Out of which one bear will be given to Goa Zoo. Before the exchange of animals, their medical examination is done. After which the animals are exchanged.
It has been agreed to bring two bison from Goa Zoo in Van Vihar. A bear will also be given to them in return. There is a shortage of some wild animals in Van Vihar, talks are on with various zoos to bring them under the exchange programme.
