Bhopal. The Municipal Corporation has done a survey of the entire city and identified the roads where street lights are not installed. The work of laying cables has started on these roads, while preparations have also been made for installation of street light poles by making ducks. Work will start from Monday to install 14,000 street lights.
Bought 14 thousand street lights after spending 4 crores
According to the municipal officials, the first priority for installing 14,000 street lights purchased at a cost of Rs 4 crore is on those roads, where darkness continues to spread due to lack of these lights. In this, 200 roads of the entire city have been marked, out of which most of the roads in Gulmohar, Rohit Nagar, Kolar, Babadiya Kalan, Ayodhya Nagar Extension, Patel Nagar, Chuna Bhatti, Airport Road, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bhanpur, Karond area are included. According to Rajesh Hingorani, Municipal Corporation MIC member in-charge of electricity work, apart from the roads marked for street lights, if information is received about any dark road, arrangements have been made to install street lights there as well.
