Bhopal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the much-awaited train Vande Bharat from Rani Kamlapati station on Saturday. Before leaving the train, the Prime Minister said that Madhya Pradesh has got Vande Bharat Express train. With the running of this train, the journey between Bhopal and Delhi will be completed faster. This train will bring new facilities for professionals, youth and businessmen. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Home Minister Narottam Mishra and many other ministers and officials were present on the occasion. Before going to the station, the PM reached the station premises, greeting the common people including ministers, BJP leaders. Even after decades of independence, the states of the North East could not be connected with the railways. When I was given an opportunity to serve in 2014, I decided that this will not happen now. Rejuvenation of railways will continue. In the last 9 years, it has been our constant endeavor that how Indian Railways becomes the best rail network in the world? Today railway stations are being modernised. Wi-Fi facility is being provided at 6,000 stations in the country. The work of installing CCTVs at more than 900 railway stations in the country has been completed. Before 2014, there were thousands of unmanned gates in the country. There used to be heart-wrenching incidents, today we have got freedom from them. Made in India armor system is being expanded to make rail travel safer.
Madhya Pradesh got railway budget of 13 thousand crores: PM
The PM said that this time a railway budget of more than 13 thousand crores has been allocated for Madhya Pradesh. Before 2014, there was an average budget of 600 crores every year for the state. Madhya Pradesh is also included in the 11 states where 100 percent electrification has been achieved. The PM said that the farmers of Madhya Pradesh are creating new records in the production of many crops including wheat. Even in the matter of industries, the state is continuously moving towards new records.
PM reached Rani Kamlapati station after 17 months:
After coming to Rani Kamlapati station, the PM said that it would have happened very rarely in the history of railways that a Prime Minister would have come again at the same station after such a short time.
