Bhopal. After one year, the staff of the Food Department went out to check the fruits and vegetables. Due to which there was a stir among the fruit and vegetable vendors. The team has taken more than 25 samples of fruits and vegetables at half a dozen places. In which for the first time pesticides will also be tested in fruits and vegetables. From which it will be known whether the fruits and vegetables sold in the market are not harmful to the health of the common people. For the first time in the state, along with general examination of fruits and vegetables, pesticide test will also be done.

The team sampled Mosambi, Pomegranate, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Kanduri, Gourd, Fenugreek, Capsicum, Okra, Shower Fruit, Apple, Apple Ber, Bitter Gourd, Parwal, Babbugosa, Orange, Melon and Grapes from Bitton Market. is for Along with this, samples of Pistachio Barfi, Gulab Jamun, Besan Laddu, Ratlami and Clove Sev Indrapuri, Sugar, Moong Dal, Khaman Mix, Namkeen, Cookies and Pastry from Bhopal have been taken from Nizamuddin Road, Bhopal.
Samples were not taken for a year
Actually, samples of fruits and vegetables were not taken for a year. Whereas many complaints are received regarding mixing of colors and chemicals in vegetables. With this action of the Food Department, it will be ascertained that fruits and vegetables are polished by adding color. Along with this, it is also being seen that what is the condition of pesticides used on vegetables. Somewhere these pesticides are not proving more harmful for the health of the people.

Designated Officer DK Verma said that chemicals are not being used in fruits and vegetables. To know this, the food safety officers have been instructed to take samples. Under this, taking action on Monday, samples of fruits and vegetables have been taken.
