Nurse-led clinic in AIIMS Bhopal: Another achievement has been added to the name of AIIMS Bhopal. On Thursday, Executive Director Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh inaugurated the nurse-led clinic. This clinic, which will operate between 9 am to 10:30 am from Monday to Friday, will currently provide radiotherapy, oncology, neurology and maternal-child health services.
Special attention will be given to passionate care
Pro. Ajay Singh highlighted the transformative impact of the clinic. Said, establishment of nurse-led clinics is an important effort for health care. This will enhance not only the clinical training of nurses but all aspects of nursing. Clinical skills of nursing students will improve and special focus will be given on passionate care to enhance patient satisfaction. Dr. Singh asked to explore possible collaboration with National Health Mission (NHM) and state nursing schools. A system will be created by training the trainers, which will ultimately lead to the development of excellent nursing professionals in the country.
Skills-based modules and logbooks unveiled
A skills-based module and logbook for the nurse-led clinic was also unveiled at the inauguration ceremony. Dr. Saikat Das, Associate Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, provided an insight into the workings of the nurse-led clinic, emphasizing the role it plays in shaping the future of nursing.
Dr. Lily Poddar said, this will not only play an important role in advancing the nursing profession but will also contribute to higher standards of patient care. This is a pioneering step towards a patient-centric and skill-enhanced healthcare landscape. The organization is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of health care. The distinguished guests including Deputy Director (Administration), Medical Superintendent, faculty members, nursing students and other officials were in attendance.
CME on IVF and Embryo Transfer
On the foundation day of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, AIIMS Bhopal, the department organized CME on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Embryo Transfer (ET). IVF-ET and hysteroscopy techniques were demonstrated in it. Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh and Bhopal CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari attended as guests.
Professor Ajay Singh said, on the foundation day, along with demonstration of IVF techniques, CME was held on a relevant topic like IVF-ET, this is a commendable effort. Dr. Singh released the booklet of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Clinical Autopsy in Maternal Death at AIIMS. This document outlines the procedures to be followed to conduct autopsies in cases of maternal death to understand the cause.
