Bhopal. A case of human trafficking has come to light in Chunabhatti police station area. The girl has alleged that she had come to her friend’s house in the neighbourhood. During this, the mother-in-law of the friend made her drink intoxicating substance in water. On regaining consciousness, the girl came to know that she was in Pithampur Mhow. After this the woman took him to Himmatpura village and sold him to a man for Rs 1.5 lakh. Father-son continued to physically exploit her for one year and ten months. Just a few days ago, on Rangpanchami, somehow the girl escaped from the clutches of the accused and informed her elder mother about the incident. After this the matter reached the police station. The police have registered a case under sections of kidnapping, human trafficking, rape and POCSO Act in the said case. The police have taken the woman into custody, while a team is being sent to search for the accused.
SI Gosia Sultan said that a minor living in the area mysteriously went missing on July 17, 2021. The family registered her missing in the police station. At that time the family had told his age as 18 years. Police and relatives were searching for him. Meanwhile, on Rangpanchami, the girl reached her elder mother’s house in Bhopal and narrated her ordeal. She told that on July 17, 2021, she went to her friend’s house living in the neighborhood. During this, her mother-in-law Lakshmi Bai gave her water. She became unconscious as soon as she drank the water. When she regained consciousness, she asked Lakshmi where I was, so she told that we are now in Prithampur Mhow. After this Lakshmi took him to Himmatpura village. There Lakshmi took one lakh rupees from a young man named Harisingh and handed it over to the victim.
Father and son raped, used to get work done in the field
After buying her for one lakh rupees, accused Harisingh and his son Inder Bhawar started physically abusing the victim. They used to make him do farm work. On the day of Rangapanchami, the victim got an opportunity and left the village on foot and reached Janapavkutty. From there went to Indore by bus. She came to Bhopal via train from Indore. He informed about the incident to his elder mother in Bhopal and the matter reached the police station. When the police asked for the documents of the girl, it was found that she was a minor when she was abducted.
