Bhopal, MLAs in Madhya Pradesh will get an additional voluntary grant amount of Rs 25 lakh every year. Provision will be made in the first supplementary budget to be presented in the monsoon session of the Vidhansabha to fulfill the announcement made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the budget session of Vidhansabha. The Planning and Economic Statistics Department has allocated the amount of Constituency Development Fund and Voluntary Grant to all the districts as per the current provisions.

According to the demand of the MLAs, this time the budget allocation for the year has been given at one go, so that they can use the fixed amount as per their convenience. In the assembly committee meeting chaired by Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, action details have been prepared for the proposals for amendment in the use of Constituency Development Fund and voluntary grants. Orders will be issued soon by the department.
