Supporting these employees, their family members are also joining the strike. On the instructions of the NHM Contract Health Employees Union, employees from different areas of the state reached the capital Bhopal and sat on strike. The government has been warned by the employees that if their demands are not considered, all the employees will go on hunger strike from May 8.
About 32 thousand employees from across the state are on strike
Giving information, the state media in-charge of the NHM Contract Health Employees Association said that about 32 thousand employees from all over the state are sitting on strike, if the demands are not considered by the government before May 8, then all the contract health workers along with their families will go to Jahangirabad in the capital Bhopal. He told that there is a demand of the employees that the contractual employees of the National Health Mission should be regularized on the vacant posts in the department. According to the policy passed by the General Administration Department on June 2018, 90 percent pay scale equivalent to regular employees should be implemented with immediate effect and CHO cadre should be regularized as mid-level health provider.
