MP ELECTION: Elderly people who have completed 100 years of age are interested in voting, alert voters

MP ELECTION:Sea. Voting has been completed in Madhya Pradesh. During this period, while a voter of shortest height reached the booth and voted, an old woman, who had completed 100 years of age, also reached the polling booth and showed interest in voting. ॐ

The oldest oldest voter, resident of Sagar district, Mrs. Chandradevi Budhwani, resident of Guru Govind Singh Ward, cast her vote at the age of 103 by going to polling station number 35 Vitthal Nagar Middle School.

Active since the country’s independence

Chandradevi has been playing the role of an alert voter in the Lok Sabha, Assembly and urban body elections since the first Lok Sabha elections after the country’s independence. Whatever be the election, she never fails to vote.

Let us tell you that on the day of voting in the assembly elections, Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan fulfilled his responsibilities very well. Officer Rajan continuously monitored the voting including voting in all the assembly constituencies of the state for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections-2023 from the control room. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, arrangements for webcasting and CCTV were made at sensitive polling stations. Through this, all the activities taking place at more than 42 thousand polling stations were live telecasted and special monitoring was done through CCTV cameras. GPS devices were also installed in 23 thousand 510 vehicles including polling parties and sector magistrates transporting electronic voting machines in the Assembly Elections 2023. This work was monitored from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
