MP CRIME:Ganj Basoda. The idol of Durga ji (Durga) on the platform of Shiva temple (Shvimandir) has been broken by unknown people in Gajnai village, located at a distance of 10 kilometers from Ganj Basoda tehsil. The incident of excavation has been carried out in the temple premises.
When the priests reached the Shiva temple on Thursday, they were surprised to see the pits. He immediately informed the watchman and the villagers. When other villagers including Dinesh Srivastava, Haridas Bairagi, Hariom Srivastava, Amit Srivastava, Jitendra Bairagi reached the spot, they got angry seeing the statues in damaged condition and seeing the digging of the platform.
Case registered against unknown accused
People gathered and reached Ganjbasoda City Kotwali, where an application has been given to the station in-charge demanding the arrest of the accused who carried out the excavation incident by unknown people at the earliest. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, City Kotwali Sanjeev Chokse sent a police team to the spot and ordered an inquiry.
Village Kotwar village of Ganj Basoda, Devendra Srivastava told in this regard that the excavation of the temple was done by non-local elements. The idols of Lord Shiva and Durga Mata in the temple have been removed. The villagers in village Gajnai are extremely agitated over this incident. Strict action has been demanded by the villagers by handing over a memorandum to the police officers regarding the matter.
