Bhopal.Jabalpur Police has taken major action. A woman from Chhattisgarh has been caught by the police with Rs 80 lakh in cash on the Jabalpur-Nagpur highway. Two youths were also with the woman. When interrogated by the police, all three started giving vague answers. Based on suspicion, when the police searched the car, a bag full of notes was recovered. The police have arrested the woman and both the youths. The woman was going to Shahpura with the youth. The woman is from Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh while the youth is from Jabalpur. The police have released all three. The amount has been handed over to the Income Tax Department.

Police interrogated throughout the night
According to the police, the woman initially told that there was Rs 1-2 lakh cash in the bag. The police again asked whether there would be Rs 1-2 lakh cash in such a big bag? Quote- Rs 50 lakh is cash. When asked for the key of the bag, she told the police – I don’t have it, you see yourself. After this, when the police opened the bag, it was found filled with notes of Rs 500 each. When the police asked questions again, she said that she had come to Jabalpur to buy a house. The police brought all three to Sanjeevaninagar police station. Notes were counted from the machine. The amount was found to be Rs 80 lakh 1 thousand. The police interrogated throughout the night. The Income Tax Department team also came to the police station in the night itself. Later the police handed over the amount to the Income Tax Department.

The woman told the police that she wants to build a house in Jalabpur.
Police said that the car belonged to Faizwan of Jabalpur. Along with him, Shashank from Jabalpur and 55 year old Anju from Ambikapur have been caught. Further inquiry will be done by the Income Tax Department team. During interrogation, the woman told the police that her husband was in a government job in Ambikapur. Retired from second class employee in 2011. She wants to build a house in Jabalpur. Shashank is his relative. He was the one who advised me to get a house built in Jabalpur.
