Bhopal. GRP Bhopal has arrested the accused and five members of his gang who looted platform number six of the main railway station. Police have also recovered stolen Activa and fake walkie talkie from the accused. The accused used to reach the railway station by Activa and kept walkie talkies like police so that no one suspected them.

GRP told that 23-year-old Arpit Katiyar’s father Sunil Katiyar lives in village Dhansua, Fatehgarh Uttar Pradesh. He was at Bhopal railway station to go to Kanpur with his mother. They were waiting for the train on platform number 6, when a person who reached the waiting room snatched the mobile from their and mother’s hands and ran away. Police registered a case of robbery and started investigation. The police searched the CCTV cameras installed at the railway station and interrogated the suspect along with his Activa. During this, the police interrogated a suspect Javed Khan (22) Jahangirabad in custody. He accepted the incident of robbery. He told that the Activa was stolen from outside the Kwality Ice Cream Parlour. He used to roam around by marking the number wrongly. He used to roam around the railway station with a walkie talkie looking like a policeman and used to commit the crime as soon as he got a chance. The police also arrested Javed’s accomplices Rakesh, Rahul, Sahil Rinku Rathore and Aman Khan and recovered the stolen mobiles.
