Labor pension scheme: Mohan Yadav government of Madhya Pradesh is going to take a big decision in the interest of workers. Madhya Pradesh is now preparing to give pension to workers who have crossed the age of 60 years. State Labour, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel discussed this matter with the officers in the review meeting held in Bhopal last day.
Labor Minister Prahlad Patel believes that workers in the unorganized sector work hard all their lives, but in old age, when their hands and legs start failing, they have no support for survival. In such a situation, he starts feeling helpless. If some amount is received as pension in a month, then the workers will be able to meet their expenses in old age. After discussion in the meeting, opinion will also be taken from experts.
Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said that currently workers are not eligible for benefits under government schemes after the age of 60 years. A review is also being done in this regard. Minister Patel said that sensitivity should be kept in mind in the provisions and decisions regarding laborers.
Insurance benefits after age 45
Labor Minister Prahlad Patel said that there is a plan to provide the benefits of insurance scheme to the workers of unorganized sector along with pension. Workers will be covered under the insurance scheme after the age of 45 years. So that, workers can get other amounts along with pension benefits after the age of 60 years. Labor Minister Patel also reviewed the government schemes for workers.
