Khushilal Ayurveda College can become the first National Ayurveda Institute of Central India, proposal sent to Center

Bhopal. Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurveda College of the capital can become the first Central Ayurveda Institute in Central India. The Directorate of AYUSH has recently sent a proposal to the Central Government. The number of beds in the hospital affiliated to the college will increase to more than five hundred. The number of doctors will increase and the seats for BAMS and MD-MS will also increase. Not only this, after becoming a central institute, the patients of other states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh will be benefited. If Khushilal College is approved, it will be the sixth National Institute of Ayurveda in the country.

At present, the country has All India Institute of Ayurveda in Delhi, National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur, Institute of National Importance in Jamnagar, Gujarat. There is also a national institute in Goa. It is also being made in Haryana. Experts say that after becoming a national institute, facilities will be increased according to different specialties. Research will be encouraged. Ayurvedic medicines will be prepared here in large quantities. A herbal garden would be made from where raw material would be available for preparing medicines.
