Indian history needs to be written from Indian point of view

Bhopal. There are many people who read and write on the freedom struggle and fighters of the country. But after the freedom struggle, neither much has been written nor discussed about the people who contributed to the integration of the country and agitated for the merger of concessions. Those thousands of agitators who fought relentlessly to merge Bhopal and many other concessions with India, took to the streets with their families, women and children, they are not even seen in the role of freedom fighters. When the Nawab of Bhopal refused to join India, many fighters from Bhopal, Sehore Raisen and surrounding areas agitated for months to join Bhopal in India. As a result of which the Nawab had to flee to Pakistan and made Bhopal a part of India. Famous archaeologist Pooja Saxena said this on Wednesday in the national seminar organized on the topic of freedom struggle and merger of concessions at the Archaeological Museum of Bhopal. A two-day national seminar is being organized by the Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the Indian Council of Historical Research. The seminar was inaugurated on Wednesday in which cabinet minister Krishna Soni, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Dr. Santosh Choubey, former chairman of Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Commission Ishwar Sharan Vishwakarma, senior professor Mamta Chansoliya and president of Dharohar Sanstha Neelima Gurjar were present. .

New burning topics related to history come to the fore

In the inaugural session, Krishna Mohan Soni said that before studying history, it is necessary to check its veracity. Many such facts came to the fore in which history was distorted and presented. Many times even those who looted the country were glorified by keeping the national interest at stake. Refutation of such history is necessary. He further said that organizing such seminars is necessary so that new burning topics related to history come to the fore.

India’s history is the history of the people

In the inaugural session, Dr. Santosh Choubey said that what is the reason that whenever it comes to the history of Bhopal, the history of the next 200-300 years after Dost Mohammad’s arrival in 1706 is told and taught. While he died in 1726. Citing the writings of historian Dharmaraj, he said that before the British came, India had 27-30% participation in the world’s GDP. When the British left India, India’s share in the world’s GDP was 2.7%.
