Jabalpur. A case has been registered against the star cast of Tamil film Annapurni including actress Nayanthara at Omati police station in Jabalpur. The complaint has been lodged by Hindu Seva Parishad. It is said that love jihad has been shown in the film. Lord Ram was also insulted. Let us tell you that the film Annapurni was released on 1 December 2023. Now it is being streamed on OTT platform Netflix. Nayanthara is in the lead role in the film. In the film, she played the role of Annapurni, the daughter of a temple priest. To fulfill his dream of becoming a chef, he is shown cooking non-veg.

Hindu Seva Parishad filed a case
Let us tell you that Annapurni is a Tamil film. Along with Nayanthara, actors Jai and Satyaraj also play important roles in the film. Hindu Seva Parishad officials and workers reached Omati police station on Tuesday. Activists accused the film of hurting religious sentiments. Council’s state president Atul Jaswani and others submitted a memorandum to Omati police station in-charge Virendra Singh Pawar.

Through the memorandum, a demand was made to register an FIR against the director, producer and actors of the film Annapurni, released on the OTT platform. After that, after investigation, Omati police station has registered a case against the producer-director of the film along with the star cast under sections 153 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The FIR has been registered against film director Nilesh Krishna, actress Nayanthara, producers Jatin Sethi, R Ravindran and Punit Goika besides Sarik Patel and Monica Shergill.
