Bhopal. A person riding a bike was crushed by a dumper on Tuesday afternoon near Pranami Mandir, Link Road No-2 located in Habibganj police station area. Due to the wheel of the dumper passing over the head of the deceased, he died on the spot. After the accident, the dumper driver fled leaving the dumper at some distance from the spot. On information, the police recovered the dumper and are looking for the accused driver.
SI Sudil Kumar Deshmukh told that Mohammad Akbar Bashir (55) lived in Nizamuddin Colony A-Sector Piplani. He used to work in a private finance company located in MP Nagar. His work was of credit card and documents verification. On Tuesday afternoon, Akbar was going by bike towards Char Imli via Shivaji Nagar intersection. Around quarter to two in the afternoon, he reached near Shri Krishna Pranami temple at Arjun Nagar intersection. They had to cross the intersection and climb uphill. As soon as he came on the road, a speeding dumper coming from Mata Mandir hit him. Due to the collision, Akbar came under the wheel of the dumper and the wheel passed over his head. He died on the spot in this accident.
Relatives reached the spot as soon as the information was received
After identifying him from the document found with Akbar, the family was informed. The relatives had reached the spot. Police investigation revealed that Akbar’s helmet was tied at the back of the bike at the time of the incident. The family told the police that Akbar did not ride a bike without a helmet. The dumper which hit Akbar was full of copra. Only after the arrest of the dumper driver, it would be known whether he had come to the city with permission or had entered the no entry.
