Bhopal. In the case of documentary made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on Monday presented a non-official resolution (condemnation motion) against BBC. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also called the documentary an attack on India’s sovereignty. He said that its aim is to weaken the Constitution of India. Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that the non-official resolution against BBC has been passed in the assembly with a majority.

BJP’s Shailendra Jain presented the resolution

On Monday, after Question Hour, BJP MLA Shailendra Jain presented a non-official resolution (condemnation motion) against BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in the matter of documentary made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In which it was demanded that legal action should be taken against BBC in this matter. On the other hand, the Congress has called it an act of strangulation of democracy. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while discussing with the media in this matter, said on BBC that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a glorious nation in the world. In such a situation, the act done by BBC is a malicious attempt to tarnish the image of India. He said that the foundation of India rests on our constitution, after independence from the British rule these principles have been basically adopted. Today India is leading the world on many issues. Some people have problems with this. Questions have been raised on the elected government. BBC has violated constitutional principles in this matter and has tried to defame India.

BJP has strangled democracy: Dr. Singh

In this matter, Leader of Opposition Dr. Govind Singh said that BJP has done the work of strangling democracy in the House. I condemn the work of suppressing journalism against the media BBC, the fourth pillar of democracy, which is listened to with respect all over the world and has made its proposal on the basis of majority in the House.
