Bhopal. Innovation, new inventions, scientific thinking are in the culture, soil and roots of India. Not from today, India is ahead in the field of science and technology for thousands of years. Science is considered the mother of technology, but curiosity is also the mother of science. Curiosity only helps us to understand any formula of science or mathematics. It should be our aim that we should devote our maximum energy in awakening the curiosity towards science in the public mind. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh said this at the inauguration of the four-day eighth India International Science Festival (IISF) at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) on Saturday. He said that the manifestation of scientific thinking has happened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the scientists of our country made the most effective vaccine for Covid. Due to this, the scientists of India are being hailed all over the world. All this has become possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the inquisitive and innovative minded scientists of India. Curiosity gives birth to scientific thinking. All our knowledge, all our abilities are useless without curiosity. Curiosity should always be the desire to know. The stubbornness should remain. Curiosity and stubbornness, on this basis, we have made the science and technology policy of Madhya Pradesh. Seven thousand years ago, Pushpak Vimana was conceived in India. Our science is centuries old. The science of surgery in modern science started some time back before Sushruta started surgery. India’s approach is thousands of years old.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that development of scientific thinking in the society, maximum use of technology is the aim of Madhya Pradesh’s science policy. Appealing to the youth, he said that if any innovative idea comes in your mind, do not let it stop, put it on the ground. We and the Madhya Pradesh government are standing with you. The Startup Policy is an outgrowth of this idea. In the startup policy, we have decided that we will give assistance up to Rs.1 crore. We are setting up a startup park in Indore. If needed, it will be made in Bhopal and Gwalior and Jabalpur as well. We will also invest money from Venture Capital Fund. The state has the best eco system for startups. On this occasion, Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the purpose of this program is to connect science with people.
