Chief Minister is keeping an eye on war level efforts to save the child who fell in borewell in Kherkheri Pathar village of Lateri

Bhopal. The district administration team is trying on a war footing to rescue a 7-year-old boy who fell into a raw borewell in Kherkheri Pathar village of Lateri tehsil of Vidisha district. Rescue teams and officials including collector Umashankar Bhargava have reached the spot. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognizance of the incident of child falling in the borewell and has given necessary instructions to the concerned officials. There is news that NDRF team has also reached from Bhopal.

Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Loteri has told that the incident took place at 11 am today when the boy Lokesh Ahirwar fell into the borewell while chasing monkeys. The administration has started rescue operations immediately. The child is estimated to be trapped at 43 feet in a 60-feet borewell without casing. The work of delivering oxygen to the child has been started from 11 am onwards. A night vision camera has also been delivered to the bore to see in the dark, the camera will give information about the child’s activity. JCB and other machines have also started working at the incident site. Police and health department teams have also been deployed near the rescue site.
