The Cyber ​​Crime Branch has arrested the accused who cheated students in the name of providing class X and XII papers on a Telegram group bearing the logo of the Board of Secondary Education. The accused Mandideep belongs to district Raisen. He had added 36 thousand 895 members on the Telegram group. Since the commencement of the board exams, till now he has cheated 600 students of Rs 4 lakh. He formed the group in a year and has carried out the incidents of cheating this year. In this case, another accused has been detained from Khandwa, while a police team has been sent to Rewa in search of the second accused.

DCP Crime Branch Amit Kumar said that the Controller of Examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh had complained on March 4. It was told in the complaint that from March 1, the board examinations of class X and class XII have started. Meanwhile, some anti-social elements have created a fake group on Telegram using the logo of Mandal. Money is being transferred online from the students in the name of providing board papers on the group. On the basis of the complaint, the crime branch started investigation by registering a case against unknown persons who formed the group under sections of cheating and IT Act.

The accused was arrested from Mandideep

On the basis of technical analysis, the Cyber ​​Crime Branch team arrested Kaushik Dubey (21), Mandideep, District Raisen. The accused is a third year student of B.Com. A bank passbook, a mobile and two sim cards were seized from him. The accused used to deposit money on his own Bharat-Pay wallet by providing dummy paper to the students. By providing papers to about six hundred students, he got about four lakh rupees transferred to his wallet.

Initial interrogation accused told that he used to teach children in Mandideep. He had created a group on Telegram using the Mandal’s logo about a year ago. Presently 36 thousand 895 members had joined his group. He was duping students in the name of providing Class X and XII board papers. He used to get dummy papers from another group MP Board Help made on Telegram itself and then made it available to the members of his group. In the investigation so far, it has been found that all the papers leaked by the accused were dummy papers. He has not leaked a single original paper.

Second accused in custody from Khandwa

Police sources said that in this case a youth from Pandhana of Khandwa has also been detained, who will be brought to Bhopal by the police team. After getting information about another accused, the police team has been sent to Rewa.
