Bhopal. The CBI team has caught the Chief Law Assistant of Railways red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 15 thousand. A railway officer had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an employee of his department posted in Bhopal in exchange for getting two chargesheets diluted in CAT. The deal was finalized for Rs 15 thousand. CBI caught him red handed taking bribe money. Now CBI is investigating the case.
Complaint was made on January 8
According to CBI, Sushil Joshi had complained to CBI on January 8 that Chief Law Assistant Aadhar Singh posted in DRM office, Bhopal was making illegal demand of Rs 20,000 from him. For this, they are being asked to transfer money to their UPI number and in return they are being asked to dilute the case going on in CAT. After verifying this, CBI caught Aadhar Singh taking bribe late on Tuesday night and registered an FIR and started investigation.
CBI is collecting information about the property
Aadhar Singh had demanded bribe from Joshi in two cases of the year 2022. In the case, Ajay Kumar Dixit, Senior DPO, who was previously posted here, had handed over the charge sheet to Joshi unilaterally without listening to Joshi’s side. After this now Aadhar Singh was demanding bribe. Therefore, Joshi complained to CBI for not paying bribe. Now CBI is collecting information about the income and assets of Aadhar Singh, details of which will be given in the charge sheet of the case in which he was caught taking bribe.
