In this series, once again Lokayukta has got another big success. Where the team of Balghat Lokayukta arrested the CMO red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
Bribe was demanded to pass the bill
According to the information, accused CMO Shiv Prasad Dhurve had demanded a bribe of about Rs 2 lakh from a contractor to pass his bill. After which the victim complained about this to the Lokayukta. After which the statement of the complainant was confirmed. After which the Lokayukta caught the accused CMO Shiv Prasad Dhurve red handed while taking bribe near the Collector’s office.
Police arrested the accused
Giving information about this matter, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilip Jharwade in the team said that the CMO had asked for a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant Sushil Kumar Chandel for passing a bill of Rs 39 lakh. After which this action was taken. Inspector Swapnil Das, Inspector Manju Tirkey and 5 other members were present during the action. At present the team is taking further action.
