In this series, yesterday the Lokayukta team arrested a lineman and a meter reader red-handed while taking bribe in the name of electricity connection. According to the information, the lineman and the farmer had demanded Rs 11,000 in the name of electricity connection. After whose complaint, Lokayukta took action and arrested the accused.

Let us inform that in Agar-Malwa, Darbar Singh Saundhia father Inder Singh, resident of village Barkheda Baraud, had complained to Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta Ujjain Division Anil Vishwakarma. It was told in the complaint that an application was given one and a half to two months ago to get an electricity connection to run a motor vehicle on my agricultural land. The applicant told that Guradia Grid’s lineman Ramdheen Ahirwar and meter reader Karan Singh Gurjar of the outsourced company demanded Rs 11000. He said you don’t need electricity connection. We are the ones who look after your area. You will not face any problem. After this, the accused sealed the deal for Rs 5,000 and when the accused reached the selected place today to take bribe, the Lokayukta team present on the spot arrested both of them red handed. At present the Lokayukta team is interrogating both the accused.
