A three-judge bench in the Supreme Court will hear Dr. Govind’s plea against ED’s notice, know what is the whole matter

Bhopal. A three-judge bench will hear the petition filed by Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Dr. Govind Singh against the ED in the Supreme Court. Dr Singh has filed this petition against the notice sent to him by the ED in January. The reason for calling Dr Singh was not mentioned in the ED’s notice. Later, even after writing a letter through the lawyer, the ED did not respond. After this, Dr. Singh had filed a petition in the Supreme Court through advocates Kapil Sibal and Vivek Tankha.

Notice came in money laundering case

The ED had sent a notice to Dr. Govind Singh on January 13, citing a case related to money laundering, directing him to appear at the ED headquarters on January 27. Instead of going to the headquarters, Dr. Singh had asked the reason for calling by sending a notice through a lawyer, but no response came from the ED. Dr. Singh’s lawyer Vivek Tankha said, he has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court regarding the summons received by the ED to the Leader of the Opposition. The court has said three days ago that a three-judge bench will hear the matter. As soon as the bench of three judges will sit for the next hearing, the matter will be heard.
