Bhopal. A seven-month-old pregnant woman was crushed by a loading vehicle on Sunday morning in Shiv City Phase-Two located in Ayodhya Nagar police station area, while her one-and-a-half-year-old innocent daughter was injured after being hit by the loading vehicle. At the time of the incident, the pregnant woman was taking her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter on a three-wheeler, when while reversing the loading vehicle, the driver hit the girl and crushed the woman who came to save the girl. Police has established a mortuary and handed over the dead body to the family members after the PM. The police have seized the loading vehicle. The accused driver is being searched after taking the cleaner into custody.
According to the police, Ankita Rai’s husband Ajay Rai (24) lived in Shiv City Phase II. Her husband Ajay Rai has an electricals shop on the main road. They run the shop from home. His wife Ankita Rai was pregnant and she is seven months pregnant. Ajay told that the wife used to walk in front of the house every morning with one and a half year old daughter Avni. Even on Sunday morning, she was taking Avni for a walk outside the house on a three-wheeled cycle. During this a 407 loading vehicle came to empty the brick. Avni cycled behind the loading vehicle. Seeing the daughter going behind the loading vehicle, mother Ankita reached to remove her from there. Meanwhile the loading vehicle reversed the vehicle. Avni’s bicycle collided as soon as the vehicle reversed and she came under the loading vehicle. Meanwhile, the mother who came to save Avni came under the wheels of the reverse loading vehicle. The first wheel went off his feet.

After getting on the wheel leg, Ankita Rai screamed and the driver pushed the car forward. In this incident the wheel passed through Ankita’s stomach. As soon as the people around came to know about the incident, the accused driver started running away with the loading vehicle. Some people chased the loading vehicle, the driver fled leaving the vehicle on the road, while the cleaner was caught by the people.
Husband reached the hospital by ambulance
As soon as the information about the incident was received, husband Ajay Rai reached Hamidia Hospital by ambulance with his wife and daughter. Ankita and the seven-month-old baby died during treatment at Hamidia Hospital, while Avni is undergoing treatment for a leg injury.
Ankita’s maternal uncle in Bilaspur
Ajay’s brother-in-law Yogesh Jaiswal told that he lives in Chandbad station Bajaria. His brother-in-law Ajay and his wife Ankita were living in Shiv City Face-Two with their daughter Avni. Ankita’s maternal uncle is in Bilaspur. The incident has been informed to the maternal side. He has left for Bhopal from Bilaspur. After getting Ankita’s PM done on Sunday, the body has been kept in mercury. Today on Monday, after the arrival of relatives, the cremation will be done.
