Jharkhand: Five Naxals, including two carrying prize money of Rs 25 lakh and three of Rs 5 lakh, have been killed in an encounter between police and CPI Maoists near Jharkhand’s Chatra district.
Police of Lavalong police station area in Chatra district of Jharkhand has got a big success. The Border Security Forces had launched an operation against the Maoists a few days ago on the Palamu-Chatra border. Through this campaign, the border security personnel are constantly engaged in reducing the terror of the Maoists. Under this campaign, the police force has achieved a big success in Chatra. Under this, the police have killed five Naxalites in the Lavalong police station area. CoBRA battalions of CRPF, IRB, Jharkhand Armed Police as well as district police forces of Palamu and Chatra were also involved in the operation.
Five Maoists Naxalites killed
During the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in Jharkhand, an encounter broke out between the Maoists and security forces deployed at Palamu-Chatra border. In this encounter between Maoists, information was received from Lavalong police station area that five Naxalites were killed. This has not been officially confirmed yet, but Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan has told that the police have got a big success.
Rs 25 lakh reward piled up in Naxalite encounter
Apart from the five Naxalites killed in the anti-Naxal operation, the search for their other accomplices is still on. Please tell that five weapons have also been recovered from the slain Naxalites. Along with this, there are many Naxalites who were told that they were shot during the encounter. According to the police, apart from Gautam Paswan and Oraon, three Naxalites carrying a prize of five lakh were killed during the encounter.
