Activists have raised slogans against the government for increasing corruption in the state. During this, a large number of BJP workers from across the state have gheraoed the Secretariat. The protesting workers have also pelted stones during this period. The police have detained many leaders and workers.
Special train to bring protesters
The BJP’s protest against the Jharkhand government has been led by Rajya Sabha MP Laxmikant Bajpai. To make this program a success, Godda MP Nishikant Dubey had booked a special train for workers and leaders.
According to media reports, the BJP worker has opened a front against the Jharkhand government. During this, the protesters threw bottles, pelted stones at the police, along with this, a woman BJP worker also broke the police barricading, the police took her into custody.
More than 50 activists including MP-MLA were taken into custody
A large number of police forces are deployed outside the secretariat. At the same time, section 144 has been imposed within 200 meters of the Secretariat. Section 144 has been implemented here from 8 am on Tuesday till 11.30 tonight. More than 1500 policemen have been deployed in the area. The police lathi-charged the protesters. Along with this, tear gas shells have been fired.
The police have detained more than 50 activists, including several MPs and MLAs. At the same time, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghuvar Das has inquired about the condition of the injured protesters.
