A BSF official said on Saturday that a flickering light of a drone was seen late on Friday night near the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramgarh, following which troops patrolling near the border started firing at the drone. Along with this, the officials also informed that after the drone’s arrival in India, an intensive search operation is being conducted, lest weapons or any narcotic substances were dropped from that drone.

Earlier on March 22, BSF personnel had fired at a Pakistani drone flying near the Indian border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. BSF personnel guarding the Chamliyal border post in Ramgarh sub-sector noticed a blinking red light in the sky, after which they started firing several rounds. After which the drone returned back to its range. After this, BSF jawans cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation.

At the same time, a similar case came to the fore on 11 March. BSF jawans targeted and shot down a drone entering Gurdaspur in Punjab from the Pakistani side. After this, during the search operation, an AK series rifle, two magazines and 40 rounds of bullets were recovered from a field in Nabi Nagar area of ​​Gurdaspur.
