The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is continuously taking action in action mode. The NIA is conducting raids at several places in Pulwama and Shopian of South Kashmir in the early hours of Sunday to investigate the terror funding case. This action has been taken at the residence of some people of terrorist groups working at the behest of Pakistani commanders or their handlers. Also, this matter is also related to Terror Funding.

As terrorism continues to spread in Jammu and Kashmir, the investigative agencies are continuously working in action mode. Earlier, on May 11, in connection with Jamaat-e-Islami and terror funding, the NIA had simultaneously raided 11 places in Jammu and Kashmir. This action was taken in Pulwama, Kupwara, Budgam and Baramulla. The probe agency had interrogated Abdul Khaliq Regu at Kansipora, Javid Ahmed at Syed Karim and Shoaib Ahmed Chur at Sangri Colony in Baramulla district in connection with the terror conspiracy case.
NIA had earlier carried out action in the terror funding case in the month of March as well. The National Investigation Agency had conducted raids in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir including Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam. According to media reports, most of them were people associated with the Jamaat-e-Islami organization. At the same time, NIA teams also carried out raids in Wachi area of Shopian, Nehama and Litter areas of Pulwama district and Fresal area of Kulgam district. Also, a team had also reached Achhawal area of Anantnag district for raids.

Many soldiers were martyred in the terrorist attack
The NIA action came weeks after the deadly terror attack in Poonch, in which five soldiers were killed. Days after the Poonch attack, five army personnel were killed when terrorists surrounded by the army triggered a blast in a densely forested area in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
