Yamunanagar: A young man traveling to a wedding ceremony in a car was abducted at knifepoint with a mobile phone worth Rs 1 lakh in the city’s Shastri Colony. The victim reported this to the police. Following the victim’s complaint, the police filed a complaint against unknown persons and took action.
According to the information, Mayank, a resident of Sultanpur village, said that his acquaintance’s wedding took place at the palace in the industrial area of the city. On Wednesday he drove a car to a wedding ceremony. As he was leaving Shastri Colony, his car was hit by another car. During this time, a young man got out of the car. The young man was holding a knife in his hand. The accused threatened him with a knife, snatched a mobile phone worth Rs 100,000 from him and drove away from there in a car. He also started stalking the accused. The accused youth then entered a house in Munda Majra. When she went to his house and asked the accused for his mobile phone, he refused to hand over the phone by showing a knife. He informed the police about the incident. After investigating the matter, the police lodged a complaint against the accused and initiated action.
