Yamunanagar: A young man was cheated out of 5 lakh 37,000 rupees under the pretense of getting the distributor of Bisleri International Private Limited Company. Following the victim’s complaint, a case was brought against nine people, including two bank executives and company officials. The police are investigating the matter in detail.

Abhinav Lamba, a resident of Savanpuri colony in Jagadhri, said he was involved in timber trading. On May 3rd, he learned that an online application for the Bisleri International Pvt Ltd distributorship was in progress. He then applied for a distributorship through the company’s website. An email came from the company asking for Aadhaar, a PAN card and other documents for KYC. Meanwhile he was talking on Vishal Patel’s number that came in the mail. At the behest of the accused, he deposited Rs. 37,524 for registration. Thereafter, the defendant demanded five lakh rupees from him in the name of issuing a certificate and distribution agreement.

The defendant informed him that this amount had been used as the booking amount for the first order. According to the accused, he deposited another five lakh rupees into the company’s account. After that, the accused demanded another 4.5 lakh rupees from him, after which he became suspicious. When he went to the bank to check, he learned that the bank account he deposited the money into was closed. He demanded his money back from the defendant, but the defendant refused to hand it over. A fraud case is alleged to have been filed against nine people, including the accused Vishal Patel, Bharat Patel, Suresh Tripathi, Sachin Kumar, Raj, as well as the manager of the bank in Jagadhri and the manager of the bank near Budiya Chowk . The investigating police said that the accused would soon be arrested and interrogated.
