Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced in the House of Representatives during the Vidhan Sabha budget session that MLAs under the MLA Adarsh Gram Yojana will now be able to raise an amount of Rs 2 crore both in villages and in issue cities. Now this scheme will also be named MLA Adarsh Nagar Evam Gram Yojana. Under this program, the Director of the Development and Panchayat Department will be the Node Officer. If an officer does not give UC on time, action will be taken against him.

In his announcement, the Prime Minister said that the girls’ college to be built in Balsamand village in Hisar district will be named after the late Chaudhary Bhajan Lal. Apart from the announcement to open 4,000 play schools in 2021-22, 4,000 play schools will open in 2023-24. Regarding the data from opposition leader in the House of Representatives Bhupendra Singh Hooda regarding the government’s debt, the Prime Minister said that since November 22, 2022, he had given different debt figures five times. Providing such false figures only damages the opposition leader’s reputation. In addition to physical development, the state government continuously carries out the work of social reform. We are not afraid of criticism from the opposition, but will continue our work to change the system.

The opposition is giving false debt figures while the debt is currently falling

For clarification in the House of Representatives, Manohar Lal said that three items are included in the national debt. The opposition gives the debt numbers by lumping all these items together, which is incorrect. The debt of State Public Enterprises in 2014-15 was Rs. 699.22 crore while in 2021-22 it was Rs. 47.211 crore. Debt has also been reduced at the moment. The GSDP is steadily increasing and has currently reached around 10 lakh crores. The debt limit was 25 percent of the GSDP, which was raised to 33 percent during Covid. We’re still within 26-27 percent. While Punjab today has reached 48 percent. He said that in 2014-15 the energy companies had debts of more than 37,000 rupees which has now fallen to 14,800 rupees.

Investment speed increased in the state

The prime minister said that the pace of investment in the state increased during the BJP regime. Haryana is the country’s number three investment destination in terms of population. Karnataka ranks first with a per capita investment of 303 rupees, Maharashtra is second with 108 rupees and Haryana with 90 rupees. In the agricultural sector, Rs 7341 crore was allocated in 2023-24, which is 3.9 percent of the total budget. While in the revised estimates Rs 5758 crore has been allocated for 2022-23 and Rs 4100 crore has been allocated in 2021-22. In 2014-15 Rs 2156 crore was allocated which is 3.4 per cent of the total budget. He said that currently around Rs 10,000 crore is granted under the old pension scheme. Approximately Rs 1225 crore will be spent under the new pension scheme. In the future, these 10,000 rupees will go towards the new pension system.

You have to work with forward thinking

He said that before the budget was drawn up, an initiative was taken to gather suggestions from all stakeholders. This time, too, 700 suggestions were submitted, of which most of the suggestions that could be implemented were accepted. Aside from infrastructure, many other areas have also received attention for governance change. We must rise above political ideologies for the good of the citizens. Aside from the physical development, a large part of the budget is also spent on the system change work. That is why you have to work with foresighted thinking.
