Rewari. An elderly woman living in Mohalla Krishna Nagar in the city appeared under the guise of a young man bringing her son’s name. The malicious young man persuaded the woman by asking her to design a gold earring and chain, took her to a street in the mini-bypass of Sector 4, and threatened the elderly woman by giving her her gold earring and chain snatched her gold necklace and ran away.
Gulshan Kumar, son of 75-year-old Ms. Vimla Devi, a resident of Krishna Nagar, reportedly works as a salesman at the company. As he was leaving for his work, a young man came to his house from the back. When the old woman asked about him, the young man said that his younger son Gulshan sent him to have the design of earrings and necklaces made, for which you would have to go with me. The elderly woman disguised herself as a vicious youth and set off with him. The young man stopped his Scooty in a lane of the Sector 4 bypass, some distance from Krishna Nagar, and dropped the woman. The vicious youth threatened the elderly woman on a deserted street and demanded that she take off her gold earring and chain. As soon as the woman took off her earring and necklace, the villain, having snatched both ornaments, ran off. The woman was in shock after the incident. The next day, the woman told her son about the whole incident.
When I checked CCTV installed at a nearby house in Gulshan after the incident, a young man was seen carrying his mother on a white Scooty. He then filed a complaint with the Model Town Police Station. Model Town Police Station has registered a case against the defendant based on Gulshan’s complaint. The police are looking for the suspect using video surveillance.
