Karnal: Two people were crushed near the village of Gheed by an unidentified dump truck coming from behind. One person injured in the accident died on the spot, the other was seriously injured. Both men worked in a rice mill and wanted to go to the store late in the evening to buy groceries, but had an accident on the way. After the accident, the accused driver fled the scene with the tipper. After receiving the information, the police reached the site, took the body into custody and, with the help of bystanders, had the injured hospitalized. The police are investigating the matter.
According to the information available, the deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Rulda Ram, while the injured man’s name is Phool Singh. Both individuals were residents of Binjalpur village in Ambala district. Both worked as laborers in the rice mill and lived there. Late in the evening after work at the rice mill, we went to the store to buy groceries. A dump truck coming from behind crushed them on the way. One died on the spot in the accident, the other was seriously injured. The dump truck driver fled the scene after the accident. Immediately after the accident, the Dial 112 vehicle reached the scene of the accident within minutes, and without waiting for an ambulance, the injured person was taken to Kalpana Chawla Medical College in Karnal, where he is being treated. Investigating officer Surajbhan said the body was handed over to relatives after the autopsy. The condition of the second person being treated remains critical. The accused is searched by registering a case on complaints from family members.
