Thirsty throats of people in Jamalpur: Since women have not been able to get drinking water for six months, they have closed the water house

Bhiwani: The patience of villagers of Jamalpur village broke as the problem could not be resolved despite repeated approaches from senior officials at the office of the Ministry of Public Health and Engineering. Due to this, former sarpanch Subhash, BDC member Ramesh and other villagers locked the water house while raising slogans against the health department. The villagers said they had been craving water for six months due to the contractor’s mistake. However, he also expressed his anger on March 9th. But the problem was not solved.

Even the water supply system could not supply water to every house

Villagers said that the government’s new plan was to lay a new pipeline in the village under Har Ghar Jal. The developer fraudulently laid a new pipe in half of the village and due to the old pipe in the other half, there was no water supply to the houses. He met the Executive Engineer and Superintendent Engineer regarding the water issue but no action was taken. In such a situation, the water house was locked at 8 am on Wednesday. At around 1 p.m., the officials reached the village and assured the villagers of a solution to the water problem, only then did the villagers open the sluice gate.

Three inch line connector removed

Junior engineer of the department Sunil Kumar said that a 6-inch pipe has been laid in the village and the earlier 3-inch PVC connection has been removed. Due to blockages in the old pipe during this pipe reconstruction, cuts have been made in many places and in a day or two it will be fully inspected, repaired and supply can be started. The area that the water supply does not reach. Water supply will soon begin in this area.

The water supply reaches the utensil market on the third day

On the other hand, people in Bhiwani town are also facing the problem of drinking water supply. The worst situation has occurred in the area of the utensil market. Although sufficient water reaches the canals, the utensil market is already supplied with water on the third day. Already on the third day, the supply of contaminated drinking water reaches the area, which is unsuitable for drinking or other purposes. For this reason, people have to drain the water generated at the time of supply into the sewage system. Several complaints have been made to the health authorities in this regard, but the problem has not been resolved to date. Similar problems with drinking water supply have also occurred in other parts of the city.
