News2News.in News Pehowa. The matter was heated on Monday due to the delay and the location of the bridge being built on the drain. Regarding the matter, Foreign Minister Sandeep Singh lashed out at the PWD officials by reaching the site of the temporary bridge and took the matter to CM Manohar Lal. After that, there was excitement among officials. In the afternoon, the minister arrived at the site together with DC Shantanu Sharma. A lot of fuss was made on the construction site by the officials.

Minister of State Sandeep Singh ordered the DC to crack down on the PWD department’s XEN and send it to the government. He said the authorities had long misled him in the name of bridge construction. So far, the construction of a new bridge to replace the old dilapidated bridge has not started. For this he has released a separate budget of Rs 11 crore. He had this budget split from the four lane Tikri Bheria project worth more than Rs. 40 crores and approved for Rs. 11 crores effective immediately so the bridge could be built quickly. But the officials showed no seriousness. As a result, the work of the shopkeepers has come to a standstill.

He said thousands of people face difficulties every day. He told XEN PWD that you knew people’s pain if your business or occupation had come to a standstill due to the bridge collapse. Your department hesitates and people give dharnas on our behalf. I will not tolerate it. Minister of State Sandeep prepared a report on pending projects due to delays in government departments and handed them to the Chief Minister, demanding that they be completed as soon as possible. During the Corona period he had built an oxygen plant here with his personal funds for more than 65 lakhs which is finished but due to the incomplete construction of the hospital the health service could not be completed. The officials are directly responsible for this. The minister showed a lot of displeasure with the officials in this regard.

The minister objected to the location

The place where PWD is building a temporary bridge. It is located just behind the new government hospital building, about a kilometer from the old bridge. To do this, drivers have to take a one-kilometre detour from the canal route. While the ring road is a short distance from it. If people had to cross the drain after coming to that place, the way around it was already there. In such a situation, what was the need to build this bridge here at such a distance. The minister told officials that the location of the temporary bridge was dead wrong. It is to be built around the old bridge so that people do not have to make any additional detours. He ordered the DC to change location around the old bridge. On the other hand, SDO Surendra Kumar Department informed the minister that due to the large width of the drain, an iron bridge can only be installed at this point. Therefore, this place was finally determined.

Officials stopped because of the condition of the roads

Minister of State Sandeep appeared in very high spirits after seeing the plight of the streets. He said he had long since given orders to officials to press ahead with patching and building new roads. But officials apologize by hesitating. He repeatedly directed officials to repair Punjab’s main highway towards Dera Baba Mansingh on Patiala Road. But no attention was paid to that either. When word of the Chief Minister’s arrival was known, officials were patching up all the potholes on this road. He asked the officers if they were just waiting for the CM to arrive. Civil servants should not forget that their salary comes from public taxpayers’ money. He stands with the people. Will make a list of such officers and send them to the CM who, despite repeated orders, do not take their work seriously. The officials kept telling them by phone that they would start work soon. The tender will be published soon, but nothing has happened so far. Now is the time to take action against such officials.
