Suicide News Hisar.Rajendra Singh, a resident of Mangali Surtian village, worked as a JBT teacher in Harikot village. In April 2023, a cheating case was registered at Bawani Kheda police station against Rajendra and others for embezzling crop insurance funds by creating fake documents from farmers. In this case, Rajendra, tired of blackmail and demanding Rs 20 lakh, committed suicide by consuming poison. After getting the information, the police reached the crime scene, registered a case against six people in different departments and handed over the body to the family members after post-mortem.

Vikas, a resident of Sadalpur village, said that his sister Kavita was married to Rajendra, a resident of Mangali Surtian, in 2004. Rajendra worked as a JBT teacher in Harikot village. Where he was identified with Vinod and Satpal, residents of Harikot. After some time, he asked his brother-in-law to arrange crop insurance for the farmers and Rajendra introduced him to his fellow teachers Devendra, Satpal and Vinod.
There was a demand of 20 lakhs
After introducing them to their fellow teachers, Vinod and Satpal created false documents from the farmers and got their crops insured. Instead of giving the insurance amount to the farmers, they grabbed it themselves. After the fraud case involving the accused, some people started blackmailing his brother-in-law Rajendra and pressurized him to pay Rs 20 lakh. Due to this, he committed suicide on Friday by consuming poison.
A case of fraud has been registered
In April 2023, Bawani Kheda police had filed a case against Rajendra and others for embezzling insurance money of farmers by creating fake documents. Rajendra had sought interim bail from the Supreme Court in this case registered on the complaint of farmers.
Vishal was arrested
Police had arrested Vishal for cheating farmers. During the interrogation, he had also taken the names of his brother-in-law Rajendra along with Satpal and Vinod. At the behest of Satpal and Vinod, their nephews Sahil and Vicky and Harikot resident Ramkishan, Virendra alias his brother-in-law, urged him to pay Rs 20 lakh in the last few days. This made him worried and he took poison. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
Cases against six, investigations are ongoing
Based on the complaint of the deceased’s brother-in-law Vikas, the police have registered a case against Vinod, Satpal, Sahil, Vicky, Ramkishan and Virendra alias Kala on various charges including abetment to suicide.
