Superintendent of Police Kaithal Maqsood Ahmed suspended the then inspector of Guhla Police Station and a sub-inspector for dereliction of duty for failing to timely submit the police response in a case pending in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

SP Maqsood Ahmed suspended SHO Inspector Rajesh Kumar and Investigating Officer ASI Naresh Kumar from Guhla Police Station and ordered department action to be taken against them. A police spokesman said that two separate incidents of fighting at Guhla Police Station were recorded in 2018 and 2021. Her investigations were before the High Court.

In both cases, the response was supposed to be submitted by the police by the stipulated date, but the then SHO of Guhla Police Station, Rajesh Kumar, and the investigating officer, ASI Naresh Kumar, negligently failed to submit the response within the prescribed time limit. Because of this, both employees were suspended for negligence on duty.
