A speeding Fortuner vehicle hit a petrol station manager who was traveling on a scooter outside Landmark petrol station in Jathedi village of Rai police station. The collision was so violent that the manager’s scooter traveled about 25 feet away and collided with the Bullet bike parked in front of it. He was seriously injured in the accident. The driver took him to a private hospital where he died during treatment. The driver fled the hospital in the vehicle. Police have registered a case on the statement of the senior manager of the petrol station.
Umed Singh, senior manager of Landmark petrol station in Jathedi village, said Sudhir, a resident of Tugana village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, had been working with him for more than two years. Sudhir was traveling on his scooter to collect food for the birds. As he reached the petrol station, a speeding Fortuner vehicle hit his scooter hard from behind. After the accident, he was dragged along with the scooter for about 9 meters and collided with the bullet bike that had stopped in front of him during the accident. The driver then stopped the car. With the help of the petrol station staff and other passersby, the injured Sudhir was taken in the accused’s car to the private hospital on Bahalgarh Road where he died during treatment. The driver of the car fled from there. Rai police station conducted a post-mortem on the body and handed it over to the family members on Sunday afternoon. According to Umed Singh, the police have registered a case against the driver of the vehicle bearing Gujarat number.

The driver of the car came from behind and hit Sudhir. The collision was so severe that Sudhir was dragged along with the scooter for about 25 feet. Sudhir and his scooter collided with Bullet. In the process, even after stopping after the impact, the scooter fell forward after being hit by the bullet. He later died.
Proceedings were initiated against the driver in various stages. CCTV was taken into possession. The matter is being seriously investigated. The body was handed over to the family after the autopsy.
