Jagtar Singh said he was working as a labourer. His aunt is Kirandeep Kaur in Tapa Village, Bathinda District, whom he often visited. Four months ago he went to Tapa Mandi with his father Gursaheb Singh to meet his aunt. We found Ajaypal at Bua. He started telling my father that your boy is in 12th grade and instead of working here he will send him abroad to Dubai and put him up in a hotel and earn at least 50-60 thousand rupees a month. The costs and living conditions are covered by the hotel management. He involved father and son in his words. Under the pretense of sending him to Dubai, Ajaypal said he had to pay 1.50 lakh rupees as an expense.

He sold one of his buffalo and a pair of gold forks, raising an amount of 80,000 rupees and gave it to Ajaypal on October 3, 2022. After 15 days he received a jugaad of 70,000 rupees as the second installment. Ajaypal did not respond for several days. He also made a lot of phone calls, but kept avoiding them. During interrogation it turned out that he had cheated. He initially lodged a complaint with the police, but the police took no action. A complaint was then lodged with the SP, which has now ordered a case to be registered. The police registered the case and initiated further measures.
