Sirsa:Following a complaint from the Women and Child Development Officer, Chopta Police Station has registered a case under the Child Marriage Prohibition Act against Ramjas’ son Maniram, a Bakrianwali resident. Ramjas is said to have married his underage son and daughter. The complaint, filed with police on behalf of Women and Child Development Project Officer Sudesh, said Ramjas married his son and daughter on February 24, 2022.

At that time, the son was 19 and the daughter was three months younger than 18. Ramjas has married his minor children. He had the Aadhaar map redone and showed more age in it. The complaint said Ramjas broke the law by marrying off the child. The CM window submitted in this regard by Bakrianwali resident Ms. Manju Devi, Ramswaroop, may also be discarded. Chowpata Police have registered a case against Ramjas under the Child Marriage Prohibition Act
