Kurukshetra News:While the wheat harvest in April was affected by the rains, side effects can also be observed in vegetable crops. According to agriculture experts, the weather has changed due to the rains. As the temperature drops, so does the humidity in the weather.

agronomist dr. CB According to Singh, there is evidence of the appearance of caterpillars in vegetable crops due to climate change. He said that due to the change in weather, tomato, cucumber, brinjal and ghee crops are being damaged by caterpillar infestation. The maximum incidence of caterpillars is found on tomato crops. dr Singh said he observed the vegetable fields of farmers Ravi Kumar, Mahendra, Kuldeep, Jasbir and Jagtar. Although not much capsuleworm outbreak has been observed, the weather is changeable due to rain. Because of this, the lament of the caterpillar can be heard in the vegetable harvest.

dr Singh suggested farmers to consult the Agriculture Department and farming experts in case of a caterpillar complaint. The caterpillar comes into harvest when the weather is humid. He said farmers should only spray insecticides as directed. Spray the drug in the morning, because in the cold morning the caterpillar sits outside on the plant and fruits, which will be destroyed when applying the drug.
