News2News.in News. Kaital:Superintendent of Police Kaithal has suspended the chief and deputy chief of the Civil Line Police Station for granting bail to two members of the gang who undertook fetal sex testing in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur under rules and regulations. An official investigation was ordered against him.

It should be noted that on February 17, Kaithal and Gurugram Health Department teams jointly busted the embryo testing gang and arrested one person from Saharanpur and the other from Kaithal. The gang member first collected 50,000 rupees and then 10,000 rupees before investigating. Of this, an amount of Rs 50,000 was paid from the government account. In this case, the police had registered proceedings under the PNDT law against five people at the Civil Line Police Station in Kaithal.

The police released the two suspects on bail within 19 hours

This information had come to light that the Kaithal and Gurugram health department team had been busy catching the gang for the past 20 days. Two members of the same gang were released on bail by police within 19 hours of their arrest. Normally the police do not grant bail in such cases. Teams from the Kaithal and Gurugram District Health Departments arrested Sandeep and Balbir, two members of the sex determination gang, and handed them over to the Civil Line Police Station on the night of February 17. Police named Sandeep, Balbir and Manish in this regard and registered a case under various sections of the PNDT Act, including fraud.

The health department team hoped that the police would soon help them arrest the other gang members, but on the evening of February 18, the police released both suspects on bail by filling out the bond. The law allows the police to grant the accused police bail, but the police rarely do so in such cases.

this is not in practice

Lawyer Dinesh Tyagi said that in cases with a sentence of less than seven years, police have the power to issue bail. But this is not in practice. Normally the police don’t do this in such cases, but the police can do this if they give a specific reason.

Civilian line station in charge and assistant station in charge suspended

The Superintendent of Police has suspended station house officer Satyavan and additional station house officer Rajkumar with immediate effect for granting bail to the accused in a serious matter such as the PNDT Act. Proceedings were also ordered against him. Superintendent of Police Maqsood Ahmed said that both police officers granted bail to the accused in this serious case, while in such cases the accused are tried and the police try to prevent them from getting bail. But the civil line police station officer in charge and the additional agency in charge granted him bail at the police station itself. For this reason, both were suspended with immediate effect. An official investigation was ordered against him. The police are taking legal action against the accused.
