After a falling out with his wife, the defendant had fraudulently married a widow for the second time. As soon as this became known, the defendant’s first wife returned. In such a situation, the second wife filed a complaint against her husband by filing a complaint with the police.
A woman from the Kaithal Defense Colony said that her husband had died some time ago. Sanjeev aka Sanju, who lives in her area, raped her after forcing her to drink an intoxicant after promising to marry her. Sanjeev later faked her marriage in a temple and also had a forged marriage affidavit drawn up. When the defendant Sanjeev’s first wife, who lived in her maternal household, found out about this, she returned to Kaithal. The woman alleges that Sanjeev married her without divorcing her and that her entire family was implicated in the conspiracy. As part of the conspiracy, he raped her along with his family members and cheated on her through a marriage of convenience. Following the woman’s complaint, the police launched a case against the accused Sanjeev, his mother Sukho Devi, his brother Shankar and his sister-in-law Manju.
The head of the women’s ward, Geeta Devi, said that although Sanjeev was married, she married and had a relationship with another woman. Following the victim’s complaint, proceedings were initiated against her and her family members. The victim’s wife has been medically examined and her testimony will be taken in court. After that, the accused is arrested.
