Rewari: The son turned out to be the father’s murderer, electrocuted him and later threw the body into the river

Rewari: In the case of the body of a 55-year-old man found near Johar in Suthani on May 23, the autopsy report has confirmed that he died from electrocution. According to the autopsy report, the police arrested the deceased’s son and his friend for murder. The police took the accused into custody after they brought him before the court.

A person’s body lay near the village’s johad. Based on the information provided by the villagers, the police took possession of the body and attempted to identify it. The deceased has been identified as Anoop Singh, a resident of Ravankhedi in Madhya Pradesh. Anoop lived in this village with his family. Assuming the death was a simple matter, the police took action under Section 174 of the CrPC and performed an autopsy on the body. When the autopsy report revealed Anoop’s death was no ordinary one. Since he was electrocuted, police also began searching for the suspect after a murder case was registered. When police severely interrogated Shivpal, the deceased’s son, he accepted that he had killed his father along with his friend Suherilal, a resident of Surajpur, UP. An attempt was made to put the corpse in the Johad to make the murder a death by falling into the Johad, but because someone got there, after throwing the corpse out, he escaped.

Quarrel with father after alcohol consumption

According to police, Anoop and his son Shivpal had been drinking alcohol together on the night of the incident. While drinking alcohol, father and son got into an argument about some subject. When Anoop later fell asleep on the bed, Shivpal electrocuted him. He enlisted the help of his friend Suherilal to dispose of the body. The police arrested both suspects.
