It is said that during this time Subhash, Madan, Aman and Ankit from the village came to the temple and attacked the Mahant. Mahant suffered a lot in the attack. The attackers are also said to have taken cash and other items from the temple’s donation box. The villagers reached the temple after receiving information about the attack on Mahant. The villagers took Mahant to the trauma center for treatment. Villagers claimed that even after receiving the information, the Rampura Police Station took no action.
Reached Trauma Center to attack again
In a statement to police, Gajendra said the defendant who attacked Mahant arrived at the trauma center with about 20 to 25 other people Thursday night to attack Mahant again. There the accused attacked those present in defense of the Mahant. Sanjay, Gaurav, Sudhir, Kesar Devi, Vidya and Sunita etc. were injured in the attack. The Metropolitan Police initiated the investigation by registering a case against the accused based on Gajendra’s testimony.
